In this research, we present an analysis of a photonic integrated frequency shifter as stage for THz dual comb generator. We studied the performance PIC by simulating it with standard building blocks, and aimed toward improvement output signal quality. revised two approaches modes generating double side band modulation suppressed carrier (DSB-SC) Mach Zehnder modulator structure (MZM). One approach was using single Electro-Optic Phase Modulator (EOPM) on MZM (SE-MZM), other one Double EOPM (DE-MZM). found cleaner spectrum DE-MZM, since is usually applied to reduce chirp effect in optical communication systems. obtained 23 dB mode suppression ratio SMSR filter, 44 two-stage filter. case clean tone intermediate (IF) free spurious sidebands IF 10 more power compared SE-MZM.
